The International Soap Box Derby (ISBD) has announced that it has received a $25,000 sponsorship from Pilot Flying J for the branding of the starting gate at the FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby race for the fourth consecutive year. The ISBD will host more than 80 event days throughout the year in addition to the FEAASBD race where more than 425 youth racers and their families come from across the United State as well as Japan, Germany and Canada. This year’s championships will be held on July 20 from 9:00 a.m. to mid-afternoon.

“Making a positive difference in the communities we serve is a core principle of Pilot Flying J,” said Meg Counts, community relations and events manager of Pilot Flying J. “We are proud to sponsor the Soap Box Derby and support its mission to engage and develop youth into tomorrow’s leaders.”

“The Soap Box Derby is grateful that Pilot Flying J has continued its sponsorship for the branding of the starting gate for the fourth year,” said Mark Gerberich, president and chief executive officer of the ISBD. “Our partnership has been great, and we appreciate the continued support from Pilot Flying J to allow the Derby to continue its efforts to enhance the FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby race.”
