Drummond Regional Soap Box Derby
The DRSBD committee is in the works to plan its 4th Annual Canadian-All American Soap Box Derby Local Championship schedule for June 3rd & 4th, 2017.
Another successful year in partnership with various local schools in both Anglophone and Francophone giving them back over $3,250. Every year, we approached more and more schools in North Western of New Brunswick to partner up with the DRSBD.
The Special Kids Program was also a huge success with special needs kids. We call this class the "Tears and Cheers Race".
In our eyes, every kid is a racer! Our Local Champ, ALex Morin, represented the DRSBD at the 2016 World Championship in Akron, OH. He really made us and the surrounding communities very proud by bringing home a Second Place in the International Division.
Hoping that you become a part of our new local tradition that will be bringing together generations of children, parents, families, friends and communities for many years to come.

Le comité de la CRBSD (Course Régionale de Boîtes à Savon Drummond) est en train de planifier sa 4e édition du Championnat local annuel Canadien de la American Soap Box Derby les 3 et 4 juin 2017.
Un grand succès encore cette année du partenariat avec plusieurs écoles locales dans les districts francophone et anglophone, leur remettant en tout au-delà de 3,250$. À chaque année, notre but est d'approché d'autres écoles au nord-ouest du Nouveau-Brunswick pour un partenariat avec la CRBSD.
L'ajout du Programme Super Kids vise les enfants à besoin spéciaux ayant un handicap physique ou intellectuel a aussi été un grand succès. Cet évènement nous touche beaucoup .
À nos yeux, chaque enfant est un courseur! Notre Champion Local, ALex Morin, a très bien représenter la CRBSD au Championnat Mondial 2016 à Akron, OH en rapportant une 2e place dans la Division Internationale.

A message from the All-American Soap Box Derby
The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program which has run nationally since 1934. World Championship finals are held each July at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio.
The idea of the Soap Box Derby grew out of a photographic assignment of Dayton, Ohio, newsman Myron Scott. He covered a race of boy-built cars in his home community and was so impressed with this event that he acquired a copyright for the idea and began development of a similar program on a national scale.
