Annual Soapbox Derby Format The Soapbox Derby: There are many forms of soap box derby racing, some are haphazard and fairly lax when it comes to cars raced, and organizational structure. There are others that follow the basic premise of gravity racing but miss the opportunity of creating an event where kids can learn, and develop their skills and knowledge base as well. Then there are events where a more formalized process is followed where the program becomes a sustainable event from year to year, with a potential for growth, and becoming a major event around which a festival can grow. We believe that our event could become one of the best Soapbox Derbys in Canada. We are a Sanctioned Derby: To be able to licensed and host a Canadian-All American Soap Box Derby Local Championship we have met some critical criteria. There are three (3) divisions of Soap Box Derby Races: 1. STOCK DIVISION The Stock division is the entry level for racing purchased and assembled kits, ages 7 to 13 years of age. We have 16 Sponsored cars in this division. Registration is open at this time. LITTLE RASCALS DIVISION The Little Rascals division is cars that are either built or purchased and assembled kits 7 to 13 years of age. We will have a total of 12 cars in this division. SUPER KIDS DIVISION Super Kids division is designed especially for Special needs children. The cars for this division are supplied by All American Soap Box Derby.
