FirstEnergyAll-American Soap Box Derby Countdown

McHenry Kiwanis Soap Box Derby

100% of the net proceeds from the Soap Box Derby will be used to support Kiwanis projects, with a special emphasis on the youth of McHenry and McHenry County. No money will be used for our club's administrative expenses.

Most of the volunteers putting on the derby are Kiwanis members and their spouses, friends or family. Their job is to be sure that you have a good time. Feel free to approach any of them with a question or a need.

Kiwanis is a worldwide organization of men and women, with over 350,000 members. Local clubs are made up of individuals desiring to improve their community through service, with an emphasis on projects benefiting young children.

We are always looking for more members who would like to have fun while helping others. Our club meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at noon, at the McHenry Country Club (summer) and Rusty Nail (winter). Guests are always welcome! While attending meetings is encourgaged, it is not mandatory. Some members who cannot make luncheon meetings are active members, volunteering for our service projects.

Our club is particularly proud of our members; Brian Cunat is a past president of Kiwanis International! Brian has led all Kiwanis clubs in serving the children of the world -- "Serving Children around the World" is the motto of the Kiwanis.

If you are interested in learning more about joining our Kiwanis club, please click here. Or, better yet, be our guest at any Wednesday luncheon by visiting one of our meetings. We hope to see you there!
