LOCAL CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 2019

(updated 4/2/2019: The race location has been determined, we are racing in Nashua this year to better cover all the racers in NH)

Race Location: 121 Canal St, in the BAE Systems parking lot

Race Date(s): Sunday June 2, 2019

Driver Check-in: 8:15 am Drivers Meeting & Track Walk: 8:30 am

Track Setup: 8:00 am Trial Heats Start: 9:00 am

Races Start: after trial runs and weigh-in, about 10:00 am

We have a limited number of cars available from local derby families that are available for a new racer to use on loan for the race.

If your child is planning on racing in 2019 in our Local and you do not use the Constant Contact registration and pay site could you please at least email us with child's name, age as of 6/1/2019, expected racing division (Stock, Super Stock, or Masters) to newhampshire@soapboxderby.org. Payment (cash or check) can be made at registration at inspection.

Divisions: Stock (ages 7-13 yrs), Super Stock (ages 9-18 yrs.), Masters (ages 10-20 yrs)

Format: Double elimination race with lane/timer swap

Wheel swap: 2-4-2 progressive

Registration Fee: $125 / $100 additional family member BAE Sytetem employee, Military & veteran discounts available.

Setup: 2019 All-American Rules / Compliance Inspection / Wheel Swap, Z-Glass wheels for all divisions (driver supplied)

Location of Track: BAE System parking from from Lock St, near the HErtitage Baptist Church towards Canal St.

Local Race Accommodations: Lodging: Motels are a few miles outside the city, along Rt 3 or 101A. A room block is currently planned at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Merrimack, 4 Amherst Rd, Merrimack NH 03054 for $99 a night (click here), with breakfast! Travelers can either call the hotel directly at 603-429-3600. RV parking is NOT permitted at the site but we have arranged for parking an a near by auto repair shop or try Campers Inn, email us.

A paper version of the AASBD form and waiver will also be necessary when checking in on race day, see "Register Now" below. This can be filled out in advance and email to newhampshire@soapboxderby.org. If the AASBD rally registration form and/or Parental Code of Conduct form are not sent to us in advance they will have to be filled out at registration at the track.
