The Stanwood Camano Island Soap Box Derby Program is supported by community donations, local business sponsorships and volunteers who work year round planning, promoting and fundraising for this annual community event.  We thank the communities of Stanwood and Camano Island and the numerous sponsors who believe in the saying, “If you build it, they will come”… Our goal is to one day in the “near future” build a year round facility in the Stanwood-Camano area with its own track for our local Derby race and where regional rally races would be held throughout the year.  It would include a multipurpose event center where racers could fine tune their Soap Box Racers.  It would be a center where a variety of local and regional events could take place and eventually would be a place for history to be made… From atop a hill in Stanwood to the Finish Line in Akron and beyond!
