2021

Welcome to the 2021 race season! We are currently accepting Registrations for 2021 to race.  Our dates are June 6, Practice Day, June 12 Impound Date, and June 13 Race Day.
Due to COVID19 we are monitoring the City requirements for events and if it is opened to allow more than 75 people in attendance we will hold the race.
We are planning to hold the race, get your registrations in early as the COVID requires us to get a firm count on participants.

$30 Registration

Practice Day: June 6, 2021

Final Inspection: June 12, 2021

A message from the All-American Soap Box Derby

The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program which has run nationally since 1934. World Championship finals are held each July at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio.

The idea of the Soap Box Derby grew out of a photographic assignment of Dayton, Ohio, newsman Myron Scott. He covered a race of boy-built cars in his home community and was so impressed with this event that he acquired a copyright for the idea and began development of a similar program on a national scale.
