When does the Athens Soap Box Derby take place?   Usually the weekend after Memorial Day, unless noted otherwise.

Where does the Athens Race take place?  The race has traditionally been held on Keith Lane between the Athens Middle School and City Park Elementary School. Due to construction of the new Athens City Primary School, the race has been held on Washington Avenue in beautiful Downtown Athens during the Moofest Festival in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

When does registration begin?  Registration for the race will begin every year on January 2nd. 

Do I get practice runs before the race?  Yes, there will be multiple practices before the actual race.
