Kiwanis is a global organization of members of every age who are dediated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

The Johnson City Kiwanis Club was established in 1920 and has enjoyed almost 100 years of outreach and community involvement.  We strive to improve the quality of life for the children of our community through service, fellowship, knowledge and financial resources.  We are proud of our history and want to share our dedication and commitment to the youth in our area through the operation of a local soap box derby race. 

We believe that participation in Soap Box Derby racing will help our children by:

• Developing sportsmanship in an environment of fair and honest competition.
• Building character, self-confidence, and teamwork skills.
• Encouraging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) knowledge and education.
