NewsRally Commission Seeks Membership Applications03.24.2015The All-American Soap Box Derby® Rally Commission is seeking applications for membership. Up to three seats on the Rally Commission are open for a one to three year placement. Applicants must submit the following material per Rally Commission by-laws section 3.07: A resume including experience in Soap Box Derby, with an emphasis on Rally background, and a listing of your qualities which will benefit the Rally Commission and the AASBD. Three references (preferably from Soap Box Derby affiliated individuals) A brief statement as to why you want to join the Rally Commission All successful candidates must be available to attend monthly Rally meetings and annual functions including race week in July. Rally Commission positions require active participation in events hosted by the Rally Commission such as the DQ Rally Challenge and the Parents Race, as well as other programs that may be created throughout the year. Membership is initially for one year, with the possibility of an additional two years on the Commission. Rally Commission members can serve up to two, three-year terms. Applicants are encouraged to apply from all Rally Districts. The Rally Commission strives to have representation from diverse geographic regions as well as skill sets applicable to rally program needs. Selected applicants will be interviewed via telephone.
