ANNUAL NEW HAMPSHIRE SOAP BOX DERBY LOCAL CHAMPIONSHIP RACE - 2017

If your child is planning on racing in 2017 in our Local and you do not use the Constant Contact registration and pay site could you please at least email us with child's name, age as of 6/4/2017, expected racing division (Stock, Super Stock, or Masters) to newhampshire@soapboxderby.org. Payment (cash or check) can be made at registration at inspection.

We have a limited number of cars available from local derby families that are available for a new racer to use on loan for the race.

The 7th Settlement Food Truck will be on site to feed race fans & participants. Here is the menu.

Divisions: Stock (ages 7-13 yrs), Super Stock (ages 9-18 yrs.), Masters (ages 10-20 yrs)

Format: Double elimination race with lane/timer swap

Wheel swap: 2-4-2 progressive

Registration Fee: $125 / $100 additional family member

Setup: 2017 All-American Rules / Compliance Inspection / Wheel Swap, Z-Glass wheels for all divisions (driver supplied)

Location of Track: The tracks runs for approx 800 ft, starting at 150 Broadway near Oak St to the finish line in front of Strafford Tire & Battery

Awards Ceremony: 5:00 PM Following the race and after course clean up - a post race family dinner (pizza) and awards ceremony will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church, 28 Cataract Ave, Dover, NH 03820. The cost per person is $5.

Local Race Accommodations: A room block of 6 for Saturday June 3 has been reserved at the Comfort Inn & Suites, 10 Hotel Drive, Dover, NH 03820, (603) 750-7507. A room with a king bed and pull out sofa for $139.99 Ask for "New Hampshire Soap Box Derby" (Group Account 2911774). Fixed cut off date is May 3, 2017. There is a wedding and the Special Olympics are this same weekend so availability between the Comfort Inn and Homewood Suites (also in the area) is limited.

A paper version of the AASBD form and waiver will also be necessary when checking in on race day, see "Register Now" below. This can be filled out in advance and email to newhampshire@soapboxderby.org. If the AASBD rally registration form and/or Parental Code of Conduct form are not sent to us in advance they will have to be filled out at registration at the track.
