Corporations, small businesses, groups and community organizations are invited to experience a very unique event that is sure to entertain and also helps to support the Soap Box Derby’s mission!

CREATIVITY, COLLABORATION & TEAM BUILDING!

The Corporate Derby Challenge™ presented by Bobit Business Media is a high-energy event that ignites a team’s competitive fire as they collaborate assemble, decorate, and compete in an entertaining race with their own adult Soap Box Derby car. Teams work together to assemble their own adult Soap Box Derby car chassis from a pre-manufactured kit provided by the Soap Box Derby. Once the car chassis is assembled, teams can tap into their creativity by decorating and constructing their car wherever their imagination takes them as long as it is according to Corporate Derby Challenge guidelines! The Corporate Derby Challenge is the team building competition that will test the limits of your staff and bring out the kid in themselves.

CORPORATE DERBY CHALLENGE – THIS AUGUST

Your team has as much time as you’d like to create the most unique, stylish, and tricked-out cars as possible. The timetable is decided by your team, i.e. however long it takes to design, build & ship/haul the cars.

LOCATION & AVAILABILITY

AKRON, OH (DERBY DOWNS) | AUGUST 20-21, 2026

When in Akron, a car unveiling will be held where teams will reveal their Corporate Derby Challenge car. Attendees will enjoy appetizers, spirits, entertainment, and Soap Box Derby Hall of Fame and Museum cars dating back to the 1930s. Casual attire and flat shoes are recommended for this event. Trophies will be awarded for fastest car & best decorated.


