Individual donations are a critical and important component of the revenues needed to fund the Derby. Racing fees and sales provide only about half of annual revenue. Donations along with sponsorships and grants make up the other half of the funds needed to keep moving forward and to pursue the initiatives deemed critical by our volunteer and staff leadership:

The Annual Gift donated by the generous Derby Drivers below ensures that current racers will continue to have the opportunity to experience hands-on learning of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math concepts (STEM) and cultivate the Derby Experience of community, friendship, sportsmanship, and collaboration. Derby Drivers honors the mission of the Derby by recognizing individuals who make significant investments to build on our legacy. Part of the Soap Box Derby’s Annual Appeal, Derby Drivers recognizes individuals who contribute sustaining unrestricted annual gifts for Derby operations.
