FAQs

SMHSBD Committee meetings held the 3rd Monday of each month at Jerry Stander’s Fix Auto Highlands Ranch 6:30 pm 
All are welcome and appreciated. 

  • Why are Registrations needed early?  Early information is needed to order T-shirts for all participants and to create the programs including driver information.  SMHSBD also needs to ensure that all necessary documentation is received and submitted to Akron.

  • What are the fundraiser and donation monies used for?
  • Do cars get impounded for rally races?   NO
  • Are there inspections for rally races? informal peer-observed examinations are performed.
  • Are weights supplied to drivers? as supplies last. Drivers are responsible for adhering to weight and mounting rules provided in the car plan rules for each class. NO overlength (6 weight) bolts please.
  • Do I have to race all rally races?  No, but it is recommended and appreciated to provide the largest competive field possible.
  • What are the ages and weights for the three divisions?  The rule book sites the following information.
  1. A-3.  Age Limitations

    1. A-3.01  Participants in the Stock Division must be seven (7) years of age by the date of the first Local and/or Rally race in which they participate. They must not turn fourteen (14) years of age on or before July 31. Proof of age is required.

    2. A-3.02  Participants in the Super Stock Division must be nine (9) years of age by July 31 in the race year that they participate. They must not turn nineteen (19) years of age on or before July 31. Proof of age is required.

    3. A-3.03  Participants in the Masters Division must be ten (10) years of age by July 31 in the race year that they participate. They must not turn twenty-one (21) years of age on or before July 31. Proof of age is required.

    4. A-3.04  If a participant becomes a Local and/or Rally Stock Division Champion, he or she is permitted to progress to the Super Stock Division.

    5. A-3.05  Regression between divisions is permitted as long as the participant is age appropriate.

  2. A-4.  Weight Limitations

    1. A-4.01  In the Stock Division, a combined weight of an assembled Stock Car, Z-Glaswheels, and the participant must not exceed two hundred (200) pounds.

    2. A-4.02  In the Super Stock Division, a combined weight of an assembled Super Stock Car, Z-Glasswheels, and the participant must not exceed two hundred forty (240) pounds.

    3. A-4.03  In the Masters Division, a combined weight of an assembled Masters Car, Z-Glaswheels, and participant must not exceed two hundred fifty-five (255) pounds.
