NewsThank You Thursday - Welty Family Foundation04.20.2017 The Welty Family Foundation was established in 1999 by Jerry and Emily Welty to benefit charitable causes in the communities where they live. Areas of interest include arts and culture; civic and community; education; environment; health care; housing, human and social services; medical research; and youth. The Welty Family Foundation has supported the Derby for a number of years through contributions made to support the operation of the Derby’s youth programs and most recently the place the Derby’s new STEM-based Education Program Curriculum into Akron Public Schools. The Derby would like to say THANK YOU to the Welty Family Foundation for helping us continue our mission of building knowledge and character, and creating meaningful experiences through collaboration and fair and honest competition.
